The bucket list trip This was the bucket list experience even among all the others in Ecuador. The opportunity to experience the amazing biodiversity of the area as well as to interact with the indigenous community who both own and run the Lodge. The guides are outstanding - I had been advised to have a private guide because of unique mobility issues (knee arthritis). I had a bilingual guide from Quito and a local guide. Between them, every bird was called out, we saw 4 species of monkeys, and the local guide described medicinal uses of plants we would encounter. The Lodge itself had fine touches I just did not expect. After an outing someone would greet you with a cold face towel and a freshly squeezed fruit drink. Meals were well-prepared and the amount of food was abundant. The rooms were lovely with hardwood floors and furniture, and turndown service for the mosquito netting. Yes it was hot and sweaty but truly an incomparable experience.

An incredible experience! Our stay at Sani Lodge was truly amazing! The service, the food, the cabin, our guide, everything was wonderful. Rhey take care of all the small and big details, we were so well taken care of. The jungle is incredible, thanks to our guide Edsy I felt very safe, and we could see so many birds, animals and breathtaking views. If you're thinking about traveling there, do it! It's worth every effort. The lodge is run by the local indigenous community, and it's beautiful and inspiring to see and learn a little bit about their culture. Thank you Eddy and all the staff for the amazing time we had! I definitely want to come back one day.

A must-do Experience to do, everything is very well organized The only small hitch is that there is no French-speaking guide, but everything is done to explain things to you as well as possible

Excellent experience. A highly recommended experience in every way. Even the road to get there is super beautiful. We loved the walks through the jungle, the staff (super friendly), the guides (very knowledgeable), the food (excellent), the lodge (beautiful and super comfortable). We enjoyed the experience a lot, so I think it is very worth it.

Trip of a Lifetime. Sani Lodge went above and beyond to create a truly special experience for our family. I had been extremely nervous about traveling with my two children - aged 16 with special needs and aged 8. We are also an entirely vegetarian family, with the kids being additionally picky. The lodge was beyond accommodating, and made things that felt tailored specifically for my children at the meals. The "adult" vegetarian meals were delicious, if anything we were fed more than I expected and constantly met with snacks in between ample meals. We stayed in the newly completed family lodge. It was more than comfortable for the four of us, there was room for at least 3 more! The beds were comfortable and sleeping with the sounds of the rainforest was something I won't soon forget. Our guides, Mauricio & Fausto, were knowledgeable and interesting, and more than patient with our children. I was so impressed and truly touched by the curated experience each day and each activity. We had such a great time and were so grateful for the incredibly educational and enriching Amazon experience, where we are more than happy to have contributed to the preservation of such pristine natural beauty.

Majestic Jungle Immersion What a privilege & delight to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Amazon at Sani Lodge with the Kichwa people. Superior professionalism & hospitality in every way by every staff member. We felt like treasured family and were called friends and treated as such by everyone. Like others have stated in their reviews: We would go back there in a heartbeat. Nothing can beat the tranquility of gliding on the waters, or stepping through the forest and seeing the abundance of the flora & fauna guided by the deep knowledge & appreciation of it by an indigenous guide. Majestic!

Top accommodation with super great tours & guides! It was simply great there, only nice people, a great and organized team, and super nice guides with an incredible amount of knowledge! It is very clean and you can find so many birds and the black caiman right at the lodge. It was a dream experience!
