HONEYMOON – PROPOSALS – ROMANTIC BREAK- ANNIVERSARIES

A romantic getaway for couples – whether celebrating an anniversary, honeymoon, or simply looking to strengthen your relationship or surprise your loved one – is available in the midst of the Amazon forest, surrounded by the energy of the jungle. Picture yourself at our 36-meter-tall canopy tower, an ideal location for romantic events, spiritual bonding experiences, or unión ceremonies conducted by a shaman.

The program includes forest walks, canoe rides, wildlife, and plant observations. It also offers exclusive services, including private tours and guides, ceremonies with the shaman at the canopy tower, and romantic dining experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1

The experience begins with a 30-minute flight from Quito to the Coca airport. Upon arrival, guests will be collected by the guide and taken on a short bus ride to Sani's office, located at the Napo River pier. The guide will provide a briefing on the subsequent activities and the three-hour canoe trip along the largest Ecuadorian tributary of the Amazon.

During the journey, a variety of interactions can be observed. These include ancestral communities living along the river, local fruits, crops, giant Kaypok and fig trees, as well as islands of different ages and stages of vegetative succession. A variety of bird species, including herons, egrets and vultures, can be spotted while enjoying a packed lunch.
The trip continues with a short walk to the black tea-coloured waters of Challwacocha Creek. Here, you will board canoes for a 20-minute paddle through the forest. This forest is full of wildlife, as it is the primary seasonally flooded forest. Upon arrival, the manager will greet with a welcome drink and some snacks. Then, there'll be a presentation about the lodge and what it has to offer. The staff escort you to your room, which is decorated beautifully with fresh flowers from the forest.

In the afternoon, guests can enjoy a canoe ride or an introductory walk in the forest for a couple of hours. They will then return to the lodge with plenty of time to enjoy the sunset from the bar with a bottle of cold sparkling wine. At dinnertime, the venue is prepared for a romantic evening, with lights and decorations strategically located to create a romantic ambiance. The staff will be pleased to provide the Ecuadorian wine menu, which will complement the meal. To conclude the day, delight a night walk or canoe ride, another option is simply unwind in the hammocks provided in the cabin.

Day 2

Following breakfast, take a walk along the Chorongo or Coto trails for approximately three hours. These trails wind through a primeval forest, offering an opportunity to observe wildlife and the intricate relationships among various species, as well as their role in the functioning of this complex ecosystem. Bromeliads play a vital role in the tropical rainforest ecosystem, thriving alongside orchids, vines, strangler figs and ancient trees. Lunch will be served at midday.

At mid-afternoon, experience the unique vantage point from the 36-metre (118-foot) observation tower, which is built around a Kaypok tree. To reach the site, our guides will take you on a 30-minute paddle on Challuacocha Lake, passing through the picturesque Igapo Forest, followed by a 10-minute walk. To date, 580 species of birds have been registered, including brightly coloured birds such as macaws, toucans, honeycreepers, tanagers, flycatchers and hummingbirds. With a bit of luck, visitors will also be able to see howler, squirrel and sloth monkeys resting on the canopy. The main event will take place in this unique location, right next to the tree considered by the local population to be the Mother Tree. The shaman facilitates a cleansing ceremony with plants for the romantic experience or ensure the commitment is sealed with positive energy. A bottle of sparkling wine is provided to celebrate while enjoying a spectacular Amazonian sunset.

On the way back, have a look at the lake for black caimans, enjoy the starry night sky and listen to the sounds of the forest. Private dinner.

Day 3

Following breakfast, return to the Napo River for a full day of adventures along the Napo River. Board the motor canoe to visit the clay lick at Yasuní National Park, which is considered by scientists to be the most biodiverse area in the world. In this area, parakeets, macaws, deer, peccaries and ocelots seek minerals dissolved in the water that aid digestion and detoxification processes. Explore the Yasuní before attending the Sani Community Centre, a place to experience the local cuisine, beverages, traditions and culture of the Amazon Kichwa people, and to learn about the environmentally sustainable lifestyle of the indigenous community. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon to relax and enjoy the facilities.

Day 4

Depart from the lodge at 5:00 a.m. for the final canoe ride and encounter the flora and fauna of the Amazon jungle. Board the canoe and be on time for your flight back to Quito. A packed breakfast will be served during the journey.
