by Green Destinations

Last March 6, during the ITB Berlin 2019 fair, the tourist complex Sani Lodge received the award granted by Green Destinations, by obtain the third place as «The Best in Nature».

This award, of international scale, recognizes its leadership in active protection and respect for natural habitats, wildlife, flora and fauna, through the management of sustainable tourism in their community.

From the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, Sani Lodge, offers its visitors, the opportunity to discover and experience culture, nature, adventure and flavor of this region of the center of the world.

The complex is managed in its entirety by members of the Kichwa community, which guarantees that the earnings from tourism are perceived by the habitants of the place, who assume the responsibility for their care and preservation.

Thanks to these responsible practices, Sani Lodge has received several international awards during the last year, confirming its constant commitment to the environment by providing quality services and sustainability plans.

At the ITB Berlin 2019 fair, where MINTUR participated along with 30 public and private Ecuadorian companies, the General Manager of Sani Lodge, Geovanny Siquihua, received this award.

«This recognition is very important for our community project Sani Lodge, since it indicates that we are an example to follow for the other communities through the conservation of natural resources. We have focused on working with sustainable projects for the benefit of the people of our locality, «Siquihua said.
