Drive 5 1/2 hours from the city of Quito up to 4000 meters high in the Eastern Slopes of The Andes before descending through spectacular valleys and stunning landscapes to reach the Amazon Basin at 500 meters and finally our starting trip point,  Puerto Francisco de Orellana ( Coca  )  at  255 meters above the sea level. Vans with a driver can be hired under request.

Two terminals available in Quito, Quitumbe in the south and Carcelen in the north. We recommend to take the last bus at 11:30 PM, this trip takes 7 hours. Many bus companies available such as Banos, Esmeraldas and Putumayo.
Driving from the South
Baños hot springs is the other gateway to the jungle, if you have been exploring the south of the country such as Cotopaxi National Park and surroundings.
