In the last few days these groups have suffered a hard blow thanks to the management of the Police and Military with a drastic reduction of incidents, which are on the way to normality. Our president has stated: «We are working with more than 38 nations that are going to give international assistance. We have accepted the support of Argentina and the United States». The support is growing as it is of importance to the region and the world.
Airports and highways operate without interruption, with strict security measures that guarantee the protection of tourists and the general public who travel normally on a daily basis.
Life in the Amazon continues its normal course: people walk the streets quietly, stores do not need security guards, and no military patrolling the streets or police circulating through the city. Coca, the city where we start our trip, is a port where the Navy controls the navigation security of canoes and boats leaving for different destinations.
In Sani Lodge, the people of the community that owns the project are the guardians of their guests, park rangers of their territory of 40,000 hectares, and the tourism activity that is the source of economic income that provides employment to them.
